Forge Recruitment Group is currently looking for a Site Manager for a long term temporary role with an office fit-out firm based in Greater Manchester.
Our client has recently won a national contract that will mean a large increase in the amount of work they have on this year and subsequently they require a junior Site Manager to come on board & support them.
This will be a temporary role, including working away managing a small team of subcontractors on commercial projects. Initially you will be working within their management structure, but over time, and with experience on their sites, you will progress to running sites yourself (with support from the project management team).
These are commercial fit-outs ranging from medium to large sized and will be based all around the country so it will require extensive working away (accommodation provided). You will be given a work laptop, email address and over time the ability to order supplies for site.
You will have 2-5 years' experience in site supervision/management and a SSSTS / SMSTS along with fire marshal & first aid. Ideally you'll have experience working in an internals, commercial environment (potentially you started on the tools?)
Pay is £250 per day (CIS) and work is expected to be ongoing via the agency for the rest of the year, with a view to a permanent role and career path with our client after that.
Our client has over a decades experience in commercial fitout and set their own firm up 3 years ago. Since then they have carved a name for themselves in a competitive environment and with this recent contract win they have put themselves in a strong position to grow at an even more rapid rate.
